Step into a story that began in mid 1800’s, when the historic Cobbs Farm on Swamp Run laid the foundation for what we now know as Cobb’s Hill Estate. This picturesque property was part of a staging post for the legendary stagecoach company Cobb & Co. which traversed the Adelaide Hills from 1867, forging pathways for travellers, gold miners, and the Royal Mail.
Pioneers of their time, Cobb & Co. brought connection and opportunity to the Australian regional and outback areas, leaving a lasting impression on our nation’s history.
Today Cobb’s Hill stands as a vibrant testament to its heritage. Spanning 120 hectares (300 acres) of prime farmland the estate features 30 hectares of premium vineyards plus rolling pastures for Black Angus cattle and Babydoll Southdown sheep. Native flora and fauna abound including kangaroos, koalas and countless cockatoos.
Over the past quarter century our vineyards have been carefully planted with premium cool climate varieties ideally suited to the Adelaide Hills. We grow Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz grapes on the estate.
Our premium homestead facilities nestle nicely into our botanic garden setting complete with pond, creek, wishing well, flower beds and shady century old oak trees. With stunning scenery, rich heritage and warm hospitality, our estate is a place to relax, celebrate and make lasting memories in the heart of the beautiful Adelaide Hills.
