Spring is a busy time at Cobb’s Hill Estate, especially this year.
In October we checked in on our 2017 Chardonnay barrels and decided they had developed well and could be bottled in November. This completes our wines offering for Summer 2017/18, with our 2016 Pinot Noir and Shiraz, 2017 Sauvignon Blanc and 2013 Sparkling all safely bottled and stored in the cellar.
New vineyard development picked up pace with terracing rows, stapling wires and tying irrigation lines.
September and October included many days in the gardens preparing for the flowering season. November is a milestone month as it is time for our Cellar Door completion and planting our new Shiraz and Riesling vineyards. Nearly 30,000 new babies to be planted, watered and cared for over summer.
