Our Cellar Door opened on the first day of summer, Friday 1st December 2017. We appreciate all the positive feedback so far. Its great to be able to share our wines, food and beverages, homestead and gardens with our guests.
We played our first Petanque competition and congratulations to our inaugural winners Jed and Kim Hicks
The Spring weather has been, by and large, kind to our vineyards. We had 178 mm rainfall during the three months September to November, average year 133 mm, moderate temperatures averaging 15-18 degrees, average year 12-15 degrees and 15 sunshine days, average 19 days. Although we had hailstorms during October, damage was limited and less than last year.
As a result of a wetter and warmer Spring, our November grape bunch counts show similar quantities but larger bunches to last year.
December weather has been moderate, despite a few hot days, which is good for our newly planted Shiraz and Riesling vines. Plus our calving season started early with four babies born early December.

January 2018 Adelaide Hills Crush brochures are now out and we look forward to participating over the January 26-29th long weekend. In addition to our gourmet platters, we will have Oakbank’s Kelsey Cottage on site cooking Paella on the Saturday and Sunday of the event.
